Remington Model 1918

Years ago I owned a Remington Model of 1918, 30-06 cal. Military rifle with ordnance bomb marked, bolt action. I have not been able to find another one. Any help

  I believe ou are talking about the US Rifle M1917. It was made by Remington, Winchester and Eddystone (a susidiary of Remington). It was based upon the Pattern 14 British rifle which is why you will hear them sometimes referred to as P17 rifles.
  
  At the beginning of the United States entry into The Great War, there weren't enough Springfield 1903s to go around, and tooling up for additional production was going to take a long time.
  
  The P14 rifle had been produced for the British in the US, so the tooling was readily available. It wasn't too hard a change to adopt the design to 30-06 from 303.
  
  These rifles aren't particulary scarce as I believe somewhere around 2 million were manufactured.
