need help identifying this shotgun

    i saw that but was hoping there was some way other than a separate site. seems a little ridiculous to have to use a separate site to upload pics to a GunBroker forum when u can upload pics to your hearts content on the auction side

    The forums GB provides are free. Using a hosting site frees up bandwidth which cuts the cost of running the forum.

    Your pictures came through but they are absolutely useless for identification of the gun. They show no markings what so ever. I would guess the gun is fairly modern ( made after 1940) because I can see phillips head screws in the frame. Please post any and all markings on the gun and where found. In particular, look on the bottom of the barrels for any proof marks.

    those are the only marking aside from the "20 gauge" on the bbls.

    It looks like a Stevens/Savage 311 type to me. I am working on a 5100 right now and the rear tang, plus safety and the over-all look, say Stevens to me. Here is a link to a list plus schematics for Stevens/Savage, maybe you can find something there/
