FFL question for Mark Christian
I am a 01 FFL dealer. I sold a 1884 Colt Lightning saddle ring carbine on the action side. The winning bidder is from Czechoslovakia. He wants me to ship the rifle to an address in the USA.
The rifle is a pre-1889 antique, but is it still a straw purchase? Thanks in advance for any insight. [:)]

If it is an antique (made before 01 January, 1899) then it is not even considered to be a firearm under federal law so the feds won't be worrying about a straw sale in this case. 0 -
Thanks Mark! I admire your ability to analyze and transform ATF regulations into layman's terms![:)] 0
