Duracoating a revolver, yes or no

Im thinking about having a revolver duracoated and was wondering about the durability of it. Will the duracoat wear off on the cylinder line or wear line?

  Any finish will wear off of contact points.

  It's named that for a reason. It's a Durable finish. I have seen a few wheel guns with that finish, they looked great and the finish held up fine.

  You may have to do some tweeking on the cylinder bolt stops. Those notches need to be sharp and clean to function properly. Also, if you do the hammer, make sure it doesn't make it so much thicker that it impedes the motion and causes light strikes. You might skip on coating the hammer and just let it stay original. [:)] Other than that, the revolver should look pretty good.

  I would encourage you to leave Duracoat out in the cold, and go with Cerakote.
