Thanks guys!! Now next question. Would it be in a s/n range that could have been a trench gun in WWI?

No... it is way too early for it to be an authentic WW I Trench Gun. The first WW I Trench Guns are in the 669000 serial number range.

I am sure there is, but at this time, I can not tell you what it might be. I am quite certain that somebody in the future will ask me a question that I do not have the answer for.

For what it is worth, I have made it a lifelong hobby to study, research, and learn as much as possible about the history and production of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company 1866 - 1963. Currently, I have nearly 30 GB of data and research notes on my computer, and have an immense library to supplement my computer database. I am constantly adding new information to all of the research surveys that I have in progress, and have written numerous articles (published in "The Winchester Collector" magazine. I also currently serve on the WACA Board of Directors, and am the WACA historian.

    Bert,
Here's a technical question for you--
What glue is best to refasten a rib on a M21---- Elmer's, Gorilla, or otherwise?

Every moron knows that you glue those L.C. Smith (Elmer Fudd specials) back together with Elmer's glue[}:)]
