Model 12 Cylinder Choke. How common?
I saw a Winchester Model 12 shotgun on the auction side with a barrel marked as having a Cylinder choke. How common are these and do they bring a premium over full or modified chokes?

i owned several model 12,s with cyl and imp cyl chokes over the years, with shorter barrels i think winchester called them brush shotguns.i think they do bring more money, but condition is every think. bert H. is the winchester firearm expert here. according to garp 0 -
Sounds like the typical 40's/50's skeet gun. Didn't EVERYONE own a
Mod-12 Winch. at one time or another ?0 -

I own seven of them presently.0 -
"CYL" bore barrels were relatively common on the Model 12, more so on the shorter barrel lengths. They do bring a slight premium over a FULL choked gun, but the condition of the gun is the primary factor in determining the collector value. 0
