  No. 338 Federal is a rimless case the 338 Winchester Mag is a belted case.

  No sir, you cannot. The 338 Federal is essentially, a necked up 308 Winchester. The 338 Winchester Magnum is on the belted magnum case, just a bit shorter than the 300 Winchester Magnum.
