M1 trigger group
I have a post-war CMP SA M1 with an HRA trigger group. I've been offered to trade trigger groups with a guy that has a CMP HRA with an SA trigger group. Other than overall condition and function is there anything in particular I should look at too make sure its a good piece before I trade?

Just check the locking lugs (round things that engage when you swing the trigger guard into place) to be sure that they aren't mangled or out-of-round.
I would hope that both rifles are "service grade" or lower. It would be a shame to swap parts on a "collector grade" rifle, only to find later that the parts that you thought were mismatched were, in fact, "correct" on the rifle.

A post war Springfield trigger housing should be marked 6528290 SA.
The hammer should be marked either C5546008 (s/n 4,200,000 to 5,400,000 or so) or D5546008 (s/n 5,400,000 or above).
The safety should be marked SA11 although some early pieces had U marked safeties (s/n 4,200,000 to 4,260,000). Some post war rebuilds seem to have used SA_11 safeties.
As far as I can tell from the literature, there were no parts exchanges between Springfield and H&R.
BTW - I would suggest a collector grade rifle, at least from the CMP, would have all manufacturer matching parts, so I don't see any issues about matching yours up.

Yeah mine is a service grade 5,79 mil SA...his is a5,5 mil HRA from CMP. I am waiting to hear back from him what grade his rifle is. Then if I could get an appropriate SA bolt my rifle would be all SA.

For a s/n 5.79 mil rifle the bolt should be marked 6528287-SA with a heat treatment code of either A14 (s/n 5,420,000 to 5,869,999), A15 (s/n 5,420,000 to 5,969,999) or Y01 (s/n 5,790,000 to 6,009,000). Any of those heat codes would be fine as parts were picked from bins and it wasn't necessarily "first in first out."
