I am not Bert, I don't drink as much beer as Bert, but, I do have the latest copy of Bert's book, The Red Book of Winchester values.
According to the book, your model 1892 Winchester was shipped in 1892.
I am sure Bert would like to know whether it is a rifle, or a carbine, and what caliber it is, for his records.

When he's given the model and serial number, Bert likely knows the caliber, configuration and the name and birthday of the assembler's mother-in-law![:)]

    Fellows,

Winchester Model 1892 was manufactured October 15th, 1892. It was received in the warehouse on December 17th, 1892, as a Sporting Rifle, 38 WCF, 24-inch octagon barrel. It was the first of three identical and consecutive serial numbers shipped on December 19th, 1892.
