I shoot .44 Specials through my Model 94 .44 Mag with no problem. I think the only hinderance for you will be finding enough .45 Schofield on the shelf unless you reload that caliber or buy it in case quantity. The only places around here that even carry it is Cabelas and then only a few boxes compared to the amount of .45 Colt they stock.

I think the only problem will be build up of chamber crud due to shorter case, easy to clean out. In my 94 AE 44 Mag I get one extra round with a round nose bullet rather than the SWC Keith.

Try some Schofield's first to make they will feed correctly before you get a lot of them

Try some. My 92 Browning/Miruku 44Mag will only feed factory length ammo.

The 1892's are an entirely different situation, than the 1894's. Consider the 1894 to be like a long action, as compared to a short action.

You will need to try some of the shorter rounds to see. If they do work, that will be one SWEET SASS rifle.
