Replacement trigger for VZ24 action
I have a mostly sporterized 270 built on a VZ24 action. I need a replacement trigger with slide safety. The flip over original safety makes it impossible top put a scope on it for me.
* Are the VZ24 and mauser 98 actions/receivers the same regarding the trigger groups and replacing the trigger. I was looking on Midway USA at their bold optima line of triggers but none specifically mention replacement in a VZ24 receiver. They do have them for mauser 98 actions. Customer service didn't know.
Any help is appreciated.

VZ24 IS a 98 action. FYI I leave the original safety intact when installing a trigger w/safety just to make disassembly of the bolt easier. You'll have to do some whittling on your stock to fit the safety. 0 -
At one time you could get a M70 style safety for a system 98 Mauser.

Bold or Timney are good options for "drop in".
Most of the Winchester style (2 or 3 position) safeties need a little trimming to get them to work well. That said I like them a lot.
In case you haven't checked it out yet, VZ-24's are the same as M98's. I have a Timney competition on my VZ-24 that was built up as a target rifle in 7x57.

I absolutely do not like them. I had two that got replaced. To me it seems the angle and the leverage they provide makes it too easy to knock off safe. I've had this happen on numerous trips to the range and in the field. They are an inexpensive way to have a scope on a Mauser action. I just don't like the way they sit.0
