Rem 3200 second bbl not cocking?

Need information about a Remington 3200, year 1975. Trigger fires on first barrel, but (most) of the time not on the second barrel. Inside of the receiver is spotless, but dry. I added a swipe of STOS, I believe there is a adjustment to the trigger would help? All information would be greatly appreicated. Thanks, Doug

  I assume you are dry firing it ???
  It should not fire the other barrel unless there is some 'recoil'.
  
  Try firing it with ammo--- bet it works fine.

  Peabo, Thanks I didn't know that a Remington 3200 had inertia triggers. I hope that's all it is. What's funny, about every 6th time I cock the gun, the second trigger works?

  Doug, that's a '73?
  Remington did a recall on the early ones. Here's a link w/pics that'll tell you if yours has been done.
