147gr Load Data for M1A
Looking for published load data for IMI 147gr FMJBT .308 dia bullets. Plan to use in an M1A Scout. Have IMR 4895 powder, CCI #200 primers, LC brass. I have not found any published load data for this bullet. thanks

I would think that 150 gr BT or perhaps not data would be just fine as long as it's proper for an M1A pressure curve. Start on the low end and work up looking at group size.

I shoot a Fulton M14, and have had two other M14's in the past few years. I reload for my rifle.
Your 147 gr. bullet will work great with the LC brass. LC brass has a heavier web than commercial brass, the case holds less powder.
I would recommend a starting load of 39 gr. IMR 4895. Case OAL of 2.800 - 2.810, brass OAL 2.00 - 2.005, no neck crimp. Be sure to seat your primers low, and lock and load with your muzzle pointed downrange!
IMR 4895 can be difficult to use in a dispenser, you might want to throw under and trickle up to your load. YMMV.
The M14 stretches brass, you will need to FL resize and probably trim every reload.
147 gr. bullets are great for plinking or hunting, 168 gr. up to 175 gr. is for target work.
The M14 forum is a great resource for anything you want to know about your rifle.0
