Remingto 3200 infor/serial #

I bought a Remington 3200. Can anyone tell me the year this was made?
S/N: OU 11815. Also is this a trap or field gun? Also looks like NO updates have been done, how important is this? Can I still shoot it?

  I got to shoot a round of trap with a prototype 3200. The nice Factory Lady shooter let me use her gun and even bought the shells and birds. Very fast lock time.

  Charlie, Thanks for the information. It's a 1973, 1st year production.
  Trap barrel, 30", IM/f, dog in the grass receiver, field/skeet stock (all factory). Thanks again, Doug
