Yes I know they've been banned but I just read that there's a female congresswoman, I don't remember her name or state(out west) that has introduced legislation to lift the ban and allow those M 1 Carbines, and Garands from Korea to be brought back.
I personnally would love for that to happen ,and that's why I meant to ask "Has anyone else any information on this?"

Don't hold your breath. The legislation would have to be approved by the Senate, which is controlled by democraps. Than signed into law by nobama. You believe that's gone to happen, you probably still believe in santa and the easter bunny.

It would be nearly impossible for congress to get 2/3rd's

majority to override a presidents executive order.

Your wait will be a long one, and finding one on GunBroker would be

    a lot easier.

If a gun friendley gets into the oval office he can flick his pin and they can be inported.

PS: They could come inn in parts kits now!

Except for any necessary parts, like Klinton did.
Lets hope some "domestic" manufacturer starts making more barrels and receivers.

Even if, somehow, Congress did override Obama's ban, if the Administration did challenge Congress's overriding, it could very well be upheld by the Supreme Court as being Constitutional. The President actually does have a significant amount of (Constitutionally granted) authority in controlling importing and exporting of merchandise at our borders.

Yep, our wonderful VP Joe "Blow" Biden announced that in the adm's continuing fight against gun violence (like many crimes are carried out with carbines and Garands![:o)]) the adm was disallowing importation of old rifles and such into the US. Laughable on the face of it......kinda like the entire adm really. Sad if it were not true. But carbines and Garands are all over the place if you want one as they have been available for, say, 60 or so years!

Don't forget to check out the CMP for Garands. While they are currently out of carbines, they still have rifles.
