Primer costs?
Is $35-$40/1000 for small rifle primers the going rate?

If I needed them and that was the price, I would buy them...the difference between 25 bucks and 40 bucks for 1000 is 1.5 cents a round...no big deal here... 0 -
I didn't have any and none of the stores in town except one had any, so I paid the $36 for them. Id had been a while since I bought any. Last I bought were $11/1000, so I was wondering if that was the new price, or if the store knew that he was the only one in town that had any. 0 -
In my mind at this time, if you can get 1000 of any type primer at a local store for under 40 bucks that aint bad..sad but true...SP and LP primers around here were around 25 bucks per 1000 2 years ago...SR about 3 bucks more per 1000 0 -
Wow Ray I still have $5.90/M ones. Local Cabela's had a fair amount of primers $30+/M on up 0 -
30-40 per brick.
27-32 per pound on powder.0 -
"Ray I still have $5.90/M ones"........."Last I bought were $11/1000"..........YOU GUYS DON'T GET OUT MUCH, DO YOU [}:)] 0 -
I don't get out as much these days but I bought a lot of them. 0 -
I swapped some extra powder for primers recently. They turned out to be corroded on the rear but all shoot.
They probably came out of a store at a beach town.
Boxes all looked perfect.
I paid $40/m a few years ago.
I still have some old Remington in wooden grooved trays.
They produced a few duds and will just go into plinking reloads.
I wouldn't use old primers in guns having light striker falls.0 -
