chinese type 53
I'm interested in buying a type 53 anybody have anybody have experience with them?

There the Chinese version of the Russian Model 1944, folding bayonet carbine.
Not nearly made in the quantity of the Russian and East bloc 1944's. As the Chinese started making the SKS's, in the mid 50's. So that the production cycle of the 53's, was quite limited.
They have been available sporadically on the surplus import market, for years. Generally condition wise to find one that is factory original, very good, condition is not easy. The Chinese got rid of them to 3rd world countries, within a short period of time.0 -

ah ok I've heard of folks getting type 53s in every condtion from beat to poop externally but great internals to just junk I'm looking at the ones from jg sales in particular0 -

J & G have been in the surplus gun business for years. They are very knowledgeable folks, regarding fair market value.
Chinese Model 53's are extremely uncommon in high quality condition. And they would bring in big bucks, if they were sold.
If J & G are selling them cheap. Chances are they are beat up, truck gun quality guns.0 -

Most if not all the currently available Chi-com type 53 rifles were imported by Century Arms, All the ones I have seen are basically junk. These have been "around the block" more times than you can count. I understand they came from the former Yugoslavia. 0 -
Got 10 of them at the shop. Put a Rock Solid scope mount on one and scope. With surplus ammo shot just over moa at 100yds. The are rough on the outside. 0
