not sure what this clip fits side is only marked s-l-lr nothing else 2 an 3/8 long thanks

  Mossberg Looks to be a model 140 series.

  Actually, that appears to be for the later 300 series Mossbergs and, from your pictures, it is missing the part that adjusts for short, long or long rifle.
