PPS 43 parts kit
According to Federal Law is it legal for an individual to build a PPS 43 parts kit in semi-auto rifle configuation? If so, can such a rifle be legally built with a folding stock?

Barrel would have to be 16" long. Overall length with folded stock, 26". 0 -
And then, you will have to fabricate your own receiver, like IOInc did for their semi-auto pistol.
And, fabricate some special parts so that it meets the "US made parts" requirement, & can't be modified/manipulated to fire full auto, like IOInc did for their semi-auto pistol.
The folks over at IOInc are pretty smart; it might be easier just to buy one of their (sort of) PPS 43 pistols. That way, you won't need to risk a visit by the fellas with the bulges in the cheap suits.

If you buy a PPS-43 pistol, it will come with a non-functioning folding stock. Then if you buy the PPS-42 parts kit you get a functioning folding stock. All you have to do is get a tax stamp for a short barrel rifle (SBR) and install the folding stock.
I do not know the correct sequence of the steps. Do you build the SBR then submit the papers or submit the papers then when you receive the tax stamp you build the SBR.
I was going to do this but the price for the ammo went through the roof, even before the country wide ammo shortages.0 -
