Mauser M48 value ?

I have a M48 Mauser in 8MM caliber with all matching numbers.The rifle is in excellent condition and Nice as it can be with only 8 Remington factory shells fired thru it by me about 7 years ago.It has all the extras including bayonet { not matching numbers } oil bottle,orig leather sling and a small cleaning kit.The rifle an bayonet have teak wood.This was bought at Big 5.I cannot do pictures,but this rifle is very close to being new.I would like a appox value on it.I see the ones M.Mausers are priced pretty high.

  Check the on-line auctions, for a handle on current fair market value. Lot of Yugoslavian Mausers were imported in recent years. If it was one of the Big 5 specials, likely it was one of the guns imported and distributed by Century Arms.

  like rufe said check the auction side. these have been selling in the $250/350 range lately. I've still got a couple from that era that are as new. the importer should be marked on the barrel.

  I checked the auction side a while back, just because I also have two that I snagged from Big 5 back then. IIRC they were going in the range that Mike stated. I ended up with one straight bolt, and one "bent" bolt.
