Picatinny elevated scope rings?
I'm looking to mount a 1" diameter scope on a flat-top Picatinny rail. It is the type that is right on top of the action, no handle. But it has the triangle type front sight that sticks up nearly two inches. So I'm looking for a mount that clamps onto the rail, but has the rings elevated about 1 1/2". any suggestions on brand and model?

What type of weapon are you mounting this on, ad what price range are you looking for?
There are several out there from Burris there is the PEPR mount, that can be had in QD(Quick Detachable) version, Leupold, makes something similar, and the original version was made by LaRue Tactical

If you are looking for just the high rings for your scope, so you can get a good cheek weld, without having to bury your cheek, then the Burris Tactical rings will work fine...the highest ones they make, that is. I use those on my AR's with the MAGPUL PRS stock, and they are just fine.

With scopes over 4x, the front sight will not be a problem. Better to use rings that give you the correct cheek weld and eye alignment than to have the scope above the front sight. I run mostly lower power(1-5x) variables on carbines and I will say the front sight is noticeable in the lower power range although it doesn't affect the actual use of the scope. 0 -
Hi....I've got a Colt model 1401 Competition mount listed on the auction side. Scope centerline would be 1 1/2 in. above the rail. BT 0 -
Get a gas block with a folding front sight. This is just one I got off the net. Bunch of manufacturers make similar products.

I use a QD mount with Diamondback folding sights for back up. 0 -
