'92 Winchester front sight

On a standard grade rifle, did the '92 in .44 W.C.F. have a bead in the front sight or was it a simple blade?

  It was a blade (usually German Silver).

  Dixie gun Works used to sell German silver sight blades.
  I had one put into an 1863 Sharps that looks original.
