    load it and polish with corncob then. i wouldn't get media inside the case with a live primer. too much chance of a kernel sticking on the anvil and blocking the primer.

    if you're not comfortable tumbling loaded ammo like some people, then load it and polish by hand afterwards with brass polish on a rag. Use the bullet as a handle.

    Finish loading it, fire form. Trim, champher, flash hole de-burr/uniform, size and tumble plus what ever else you want to do.

    Hmm... Live ammo in tumbler. Cat that won't stay out of my reloading room. Honey it just went off.

    I shoot a lot of brass that isn't shiny.
    As long as it is clean, I am happy.

    Save the labor, load and shoot.

    Tarnish is one thing, imperfections and corrosion another. Discoloration is no big deal, but cases with weak spots due to rust or with detritus that just won't come off that would affect chambering or mar your die are scrap pieces.
