    Don't know anything specific, about it's age or value? The grips don't look correct, though? Looks like they are off a S & W?

    They made that model for 40 years or more. I don't have a way to tell the date from the serial number.
    As rufe says, it has Smith & Wesson grips. I suspect it has been replated. Looks nice but dollar value is not high.

    Yes, but it was clear up to $15 by 1939.

    Hi Doc The "automatic" refers to automatic ejecting when broken open. It does have the wrong grips. Caliber is .38 S&W. These were not extremely pricey guns. Unless someone has a NIB specimen, they typically sell for $100-$150.
