Ruger Ranch Gun -Weird Ser #?
Today I saw a Ruger Ranch Gun with serial number 185-00001. Is this just a regular start of a new set of numbers or could this be something special?

Be cool if it were 1/10,000 [:D]. And shot just as well. 0 -
Progressive serial numbers have to start somewhere [;)] 0 -
Usually don't start with #1 unless a special presentation or special order to prevent overcharging/collector frenzy. 0 -
Is the gun for sale?
Edit 7-16-13:
rsnyder55, why do you ask if I am interested? (I would not have asked were I not interested.)0 -

added They can tell you the date of production and features but can't tell you if it's the first one produced in the 185 series; seems odd.0 -

I did but they can only tell you date of production, March 1986, and features. Nothing else.0 -
again are you sure it is a "ranch" model. If so why do you believe that? BTW it is probably not a ranch but a standard mini 14. Does it have a receiver cut for rings and were ruger rings on the gun 0
