Anyone heard of a Valor SM-11?

25 cal - made in Germany. I'm visiting a pal in Omaha that has one & I can't get the mag release to move.

It's one of the little potmetal guns that Rohm made back in the 60's

I would remove the grips and spray some WD 40 in the area around the butt mag release. Be very careful handling it. As if there is a round in the chamber, you don't want the striker to release and fire the round.

After spraying push the mag release back with a wooden dowel, to get the mag out. Be careful as everything is potmetal, and doesn't take too much to break it.

If the mag. release is frozen and that sucker is loaded just work the slide until the silly thing is empty. Then go to work on the release.

Thanks for the info guys. Yes, it was just very dirty & stuck. Probably hasn't been used in over 10 years. Cleaning got it free but I'm going to advise her not to shoot it - just keep it as something from her late mom.
