I just bought a new Sig 230 .380 pistol. I am looking for a laser sight for it but cannot find one. I checked out the Crimson Trace website and could not find a laser sight for that model. Does anyone know where I coulk look, or even if laser sights were even made for that model? If not I might just look into night sights.

Outfit called laserlyte makes one that is mounted in the rear sight dovetail on either side of a replacement rear sight. Obviously it's bigger than the original rear sight. Also your pistol is going to have to have a standard dovetail cut in the slide.

I am going to make a suggestion, that I am partial to, as they are made right close to me. The company is Laser-Max. They are made in Rochester, NY, and replace the internal guide rod. Because of that, no additional holster woes are afront. I have them on 3 Glocks, and one Wilson 1911.

Yes, but you probably won't like them.

-Learn to shoot with iron sights (I'm only half joking here).

-Trade gun for one that's easier to mount a laser on. Honestly this is probably the best option. Para does (or did) make a double-stack 1911 with a built in rail, if I'm not mistaken.

-Have good gunsmith custom fit a rail, drill and tap your guns frame, then install it under the dustcover. At that point you can put whatever standard mount laser/light/bayonet/etc on the gun you like.

This isn't as hard as it sounds, and probably not prohibitively expensive, though you'll need to drill two holes in your guns frame. . .how bad do you want this laser again?

Really? Kinda funny, that I have a 14/45 Limited, that wears one.

    EDIT 1

    Here is a link

    https://www.lasermax.com/SearchResults.aspx?Search=1911

    https://www.lasermax.com/Portals/0/Manuals/Guide Rod Lasers/1911 GRL Manual vD.pdf

They did make one for all 1911's, not just the Para. The only thing different about the high capacity para's is the magazine housing/grip. That has nothing to do with the guide rod, or slide stop.
