M-1 rifle barrel marking? Mark C. ?
when the CMP flooded the country with cheap m-1's a decade ago, I gave a rifle to each of my sons. Last night #1 was shooting his and left it on the kitchen table. Not haveing even looked at it simce then I went over it. It's a 101 mil. springfield, beech stock, post war rebuild but the barrel makings are " b. sid.56 1955" wth over?
