Rem 870/mossberg835 barrel

Someone claims the mossberg 835 barrel will work on an 870. Does anyone know if this is correct? Don't have a 835 but I can get the barrels a lot cheaper than Remington barrels

  Seems unlikely. Mossberg did make barrels for 870's, I have seen the ads, never saw or tried the barrel.

  870 and 835 barrels are not interchangeable. Mossberg did or does make a replacement barrel for the Remington 870, as does some Chinese outfit.
