Sonic cleaners....suggestions please
I've got the bug for a sonic parts cleaner. I'd like to have one large enough to drop a G21 (disassembled) into the pot to be cleaned. Maybe a bit larger, but not a bathtub. What do you all recommend.
Thanks.

A friend of mine bought one from Harbor Freight and is very pleased with it. 0 -
Be careful what solution you use & what parts you put in. We had one at HQ & got rid of it. It messed up the finish on some aluminum frames. And remember, you'll still have to clean out some gunk & lubricate it afterwards. 0 -
If you want the real deal- I have 2 that are Industrial grade.

Lymans large ultrasonic is not a bad unit for the price.
It only has two traducers instead of three.0 -
Dont use on Nickle plated guns or some aluminum. Y0u cant tell which aluminum until you ruin it[:(!] 0 -
Also- Distilled Water (DI) is a Must! Tap-filtered water will cut your tank life in half and is not a good alternitive. Believe it or not, using tap water in a U.C. can imbed/etch corrosive impurity's into metal parts.
Keep it clean with quality.0 -
Good stuff....
Mr. FrancF, please contact me via email. I'd like to learn more about the units you use.
I'm so ignorant, I'm afraid to ask so much on this thread...trying to save bandwidth !
I am very interested in getting a unit that will do a good job.
