I want to replace the front sight with a higher post. Does anyone know how to remove the nosecap? thanks Don

  It's been a long time since I had my hands on one. Is there any screws on the bottom of the nose piece? And a spring in the forward part of the stock on the underside, just to the rear of the nose piece?

  THERE IS A 'SPRING CATCH' INSIDE THE FRONT NOSE CAP, DEPRESS THIS BY USEING A PIN PUNCH THREW THE SMALL HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OD THE NOSE CAPE.

  Why not just replace the blade?

  "Why not just replace the blade?".......you have to remove the nose cap (sight protector) to get at it.
