Savage model 24s-c forend removal

New to this model.
How do I remove the forend after the retaining screw has been removed. It seems to have something else holding it back towards the barrel hinge pin. Thank you.

  Leave the screw in and pull down and then forward.

  Pull down on the front of forearm as it is retained by a spring-loaded mechanism at about the middle.
