  "Flayderman's Guide" shows that the lockplate marking is from a post Civil War, Model 1870, Sharps made in Springfield Arsenal, in 50-70 centerfire.
  
  I don't see it being a big buck item because of the above. Seems to me some back woods bubba, made a percussion shotgun using a Sharps lockplate?

  That lock plate has been severely cut and reshaped in order to fit that stock. It's just a junker and was never made by Sharps.
