This was the first pistol bought about '65. You see them once in a while. I think guys are holding on to them.
This one sold two days ago, for $275

There's no import marks on this piece so , I am not sure of what you mean by "the first pistol bought at 65' "

Also, the ones for sale do not have a Waffen proof. I am wondering about the serial number mostly....I've learned from a couple of instances in the past that marking sometimes take major precedence over what the majority of unmarked guns sell for.

I've owned a number of them over the years. Although they have gone up in value, like everything else. The only way they would have any great value is if they are factory original, specially if Waffen Ampted.

Your is'n marked correctly with the Waffen Ampt on the frame as shown in this photo. It should be stamped on the frame between the model and the manufacturer.

In addition, besides the replacement grips the finish isn't correct. The original French finish was similar to black enamel that is simply sprayed on the pistol.

From the above 3 points, I don't see your pistol having great collector value. As the correct ammo has always been very difficult and expensive to obtain, it's value as a shooter is also minimal,IMHO.

So then I take it that I have a regular 1935 with a Nazi Proofed Barrel?

Fraid not. Because of the replacement grips and being refinished it wouldn't be considered a French military arsenal original 1935A. The Waffened barrel might have some value to a collector who needs one to make his correct?
