Winchester 1886 Info

Can someone help with information on my 1886. I posted pictures at:

Serial number is 89946, cal is 45-90 WCF. The barrel measures 21 7/8 inches using a cleaning rod. The groove on the underside of the barrel goes all the way to the end. What on this gun looks original and what may have been modified? Thanks.

  Both the barrel and magazine tube have been cut down (shortened), and both the front and rear sights have been replaced.

  Image 12 of 13 looks like the barrel may be relined also. Or finished in a weird way.

  Thanks for the observation Michael. I can't tell for sure, I'll bring it to someone locally who should be able to tell. If it is relined, that should make it an even better shooter!
