Henry 22 Lever
I have a question for anyone familiar with Henry 22lr lever action rifles. I have one and absolutely love it except for one thing. The forearm wood wiggles a little. I can't seem to tighten it. Is this normal?

I have 4 of them. none of them wiggle on the forearm. I have had all mine apart including forearms for cleaning, and they still don't wiggle. make sure the forearm is slid all the way back and then tighten the forearm band. 0 -
Had a Marlin that did that, I shimmed it with a tooth-pick and it cured the wiggle [;)]. You may have to search around for the best location in the forearm to place it if you decide to try it. 0 -
MrGunz22,
If you read the "Henry" subforum, on another Web site, then you will see that your question is asked several times a year. If the overall fit & finish is alright, and you just want to stop the "wiggle", then take off the forearm, and put a short length of black electrical tape on it, in the barrel trough, like this (front & rear):
This satisfies most of the Henry owners that are concerned about it.[;)]
Now, my Henry H001L has this same condition, which is really just a small, back-and-forth sliding of the forend. My personal cure is to leave it, as-is. [:D]
Shoot some for me![:D]0 -
