Browning 22 Semi Auto Rifle

I just picked up one of these with the wheel sight. I know little about them and am trying to date it. Where do I find the serial number and how can I date it? Thanks.

  First place to look is the buttplate where you unlock the magazine tube.

  The serial number should be on the underside of the barrel just in front of the forearm. The wheel sight models were late 50's, early 60's era

  Found the serial number. Thanks for the help. It's 1959 and in great shape. Don't know really what it's worth but I'm very happy with my little Browning that will probably end up with one of my grandkids.

  If the serial number is 1959, it is estimated that it would have been made in 1956, reference BROWNING .22 CALIBER RIFLES, 1914-1991, Homer C. Tyler.
