Peters Stahl is a German firm that made high quality, expensive .22 conversion units. They were sold in this country by Pachmayr and Springfield Arsenal, back in the 90's. I don't know if they are still in business?
EDIT #1, Here is a Peters Stahl 22 on a 1911 A1 frame. I have seen complete Peters Stahl centerfire pistols. Although they have a superficial resemblance to 1911's they are different internally.0 -

Bruce I have one of the GSG pistols And had a Peter Stahl conversion My Stahl conversion wore out fairly quickly around 10,000
rounds . The area of the slide that had the discounter cut was very narrow to allow it to fit between the lips of the magazine when feeding a round out of the magazine into the chamber The area where the disconector cut was just a shell and wore away. I also did not like the Extractor Ejector it was a Long Allen head screw that had part of the head milled away. IMHO the Kart. is MUCH better. as to long life.0 -
Some information on the GSG German 22 long rifle pistol.
first it likes only high speed ammo to function and feed properly. Second I had to do extensive work on the frame and slide so it wouldn't hang up, that is slow to close and sometimes not close fully. The frame would bind on the front of the slide which required marking and filing. Once all the relief work was done it functions smoothly.0
