thanks in advance everyone, i have a h&r ctge 38s&w 5 shot i just came across but the cylinder spins when the gun is not cocked but when the gun is cocked it locks in place its double action is that normal or is it broken

  Dave- normal. Cylinder on many of the Iver Johnson and H&R revolvers locked only when hammer was at full cock.
