    Give Simichrome polish a try, got nothing to lose. Some folks swear by it.

    Personally, it was made to be a CCW not a safe Queen. I wouldn't sweat it. Granted it was only made by Colt, for a short production run. Always possible it could turn into a sleeper, collector wise because it's a Colt.

    We found a 150 grit sanding sponge works to match the S&W stainless. You might try one to see what matches Colt. Just go lightly with them.

    I use a worn green ScotchBrite pad and go lightly with the "grain' of the original finish. ScotchBrite pads are made in many grits so, if buying new pads, get the grit that best matches the original texture.
