Torx bit ?
What are the most common bit sizes for rings and Pic rails? Also whats a good brand to go with. The reviews on Brownells and Midway are all over the place. I already have the "Pen Knife" type Torx tool and looking for bits that I can use with a Chapmen driver and ratchet.
Thanks,
Rob

The Brownells are the best of the gun store(label, like Brownell's, Midway, Wheeler Engineering, Lyman, etc.) stuff, but the Craftsman, are equally as good. So you do not snap screws, and/or crush scope tubes, the Chapman ratchet driver should be avoided for tightening, and used just for removal. Use a torque wrench for tightening base screws, and ring caps. I have a couple screwdriver type torque wrenches that are calibrated in inch-pounds, just for that.
For common sizes, I would get a whole set, up to T-40.

RobOz,
I have several sets of the Brownells Torx bit kits @ $17.99/ea. It's easier to have a set at each work station that trying to carry a set with you all the time. I don't know if they fit your Chapman or not, you have to check the shank size to be sure. These are made in the USA.
Brownells used to replace these for free if they broke but none of mine have ever been broken so I can't verify this anymore.
Midway sells the bits made by Chapman for their ratchet system.

I like Apex brand. My Leatherman Wave tool has a 20 different bit kit as an option. If you grind the flats on a regular 1/4" hex bit holder you can then use the any the normal bits in the wave tool with your adapter.

I was referring to the first url but the second is OK if you need the handle and just the 5 tips. The LE handle is a little shorter than the longer standard handle. I like the shorter LE handle best especially when working on $2-3,000 scopes...
If I remember correctly, it is the #15 which gets used on a lot of the scope rails. The rings are a different story. The #15 also gets used for changing out the inserts on several of my lathe tools.
