Winchester 70 Classic FWT 280 Date?

Trying to determine the date of manufacture for my WIN 70 FWT Classic 280. G171XXX. Really Nice hunk of wood on this one. Red recoil pad. USRA

  If it is a 70 Classic, it could not have been made in 1983. They did not start making them until 1992. The "Classic" denotes the Pre-64' style action in use.

  It's a classic CRF. My best guess is 1994 but I can't find any data to back that up?
