Winchester date of manufacture

I've got a model 24 with a serial number 3811 and was wondering if anyone on here could tell me when it was made.

According to the BB, it's a first year production gun,1939.

EDIT #1, For valuation we need quality photos, or a very specific description of the Winchester. Re, factory originally and cosmetic condition.

There were 5 made in 1938, 16,560 made in 1939.[:)]

The Winchester dom in the blue book are as unreliable as their valuations.

Even a blind hog can find an acorn once in a while.
I checked in The Red Book of Winchester Values, 3rd edition, and the Blue Book is correct this time.

We have got to see pictures for a value estimate.
Value is all about condition, condition, condition and originality.
There is a "sticky" at the top of the page about posting good, clear, close pictures.
