Bert H.
According to your Winchester 1894 thread http://forums.GunBroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=245213, the last Model 1894 made in that year was serial #1674.
Ironically, it's for sale on the auction side: http://www.GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=338175100

I just thought you might be interested in seeing it.

I'm not Bert, but I do have copys of all 3 of his books.
According to the newest book, The Red Book of Winchester Values, your model 92 was built in 1893, probably early in the year.
Bert will be along with additional information shortly.

I am not sure what my friend W.D. was reading in my book, but he misread it. Serial number 7121 was the last Model 1892 made in the year 1892 (and listed as such in Chapter 8).
Model 1892 serial number 3895 was manufactured in October of 1892. It was received in the warehouse in December of 1892 as a Sporting Rifle, 38 WCF, octagon barrel.0 -
