    Bunch of those boxes have been around in the past. I believe they were distributed through the Director of Civilian Marksmanship to NRA affiliated organizations.

    I bought some at a flea market years ago. Put them on the auction for what I consider a reasonable price, but they didn't sell. My guess, so many of the boxes are still around their only have value as bullets for reloading.

    Frankford Arsenal first started making bullets and empty cases available to Militia Units (NG), and to civilians through the old DCM, as early as the 1930s. Later, other Ordnance Plants, such as WRA and Lake City, did the same thing.

    All types of GI bullets were distributed. Some boxes are more desirable than others. A full sealed box, in good condition, can sell for as much as $25. I have quite a few boxes in my collection. Here's a few of them.
