Mossberg 500 Short strokes

I took a 12 gauge Mossberg 500 completely apart now I'm having a problem putting it back together. Where the the slide bar tube fits over the magazine tube it there are forward and rear stop rings mounted onto the magazine tube with a dimple in the slide bar tube. I think these rings got out of adjustment because when I rack the forend the bolt travel is insufficient. The rings are on very tight. Is there a source where I can find the proper placement? It's a standard length tube and 2 3/4" standard gun not the short barrel high capacity.

  Sounds like operator error somewhere on the re-assembly. The cartridge stop or iterupter are likely causing the bind.
  
  Take it apart and try again.
  
  Edit: If the trigger group goes in with alot of effort something is wrong with the above parts.
