I Have a chance to buy a B-West AK 47
I have heard some of these guns were not heat treated correctly
the ejector in this gun is a plum color like it has been heat treated
the serial number on the gun is BWB103XXX
any information would help thanks

This information is what I gathered when I was researching Chinese AKs before I bought a couple of them. B-West was an importer and a manufacturer of AKs. The Chinese AKs imported by B-West were built in China at their military AK factories. They will be marked made in China and are as good of quality as any other imported Chinese AK. B-West also Built AKs with Chinese parts and US receivers these are marked made in US. The US receivers apparently were not heat treated properly (or at all) and have been reported to have the rivet holes start to become oblong with as little as a couple hundred of rounds. I also read of guys getting made in US, B-West AKs cheap as in $200 to $300 (several years ago)and shooting them until they see signs of the holes starting to auger out. I also have heard of people buying the made in US, B-West AKs cheap to part out and rebuild with new heat treated receivers. 0
