Picked up a conversion for my EAA Witness
10 mm to 22lr and I'm getting conflicting info on buying another 22 mag for it. What is the difference in the older 22 mags from the newer mags and I would like to get 1 or 2 more. My 10 mm is a older one and I have no clue on the new (new to me) slide and barrel. The mag that came with the conversion says made in Italy K22

I believe that the older Witnesses, were made on two frame sizes...a smaller one like the CZ-75, for the 9mm, 40 S&W, 38 Super, etc...and a larger one, like the CZ-97, for the 45, and 10mm. You will need to be careful of which 22 magazine you get.

This is absolutely correct.
And when I ordered them, the numbskulls at EAA sent me two correct magazines and one incorrect one! (I have a small frame Witness, specified this explicitly to EAA, yet still received both small and large frame magazines).
All 10mm Witnesses are built on the larger frame, and the conversion requires the larger. 22 mags. If/when you order magazines, make sure to specify the larger frame size .22 magazines, and also make sure you TEST the things to make sure you got the right one!
One other thing. My .22 conversion malfunctioned heavily until I lubed it well and broke it in. After lube and several hundred rounds through it, it works a lot better.0 -
Thanks guys and I ordered them and I had to tell the bimbo everything and what mag I was using and she couldn't figure it out until I gave her the whole serial number and I ask her when it would ship. No idea on the shipping and I got them in 3 days. Nice company but Customers Service sucks and have no clue on their product. Nice shooter 0
