K Frame grips are probably the most commonly found of the modern S & W grips. Check completed gun site and fleabay auctions, for actual fair market value prices.

The only set that will bring a premium will be the ones with the badge. If it can be ascertained that the grips were from the S & W factory, they might be quite valuable. Contact your MIL and or the sheriff's department that he worked for to try to find the history of the grips with the badge. If they were a very limited production item? Might have substantial value to a collector of police memorabilia.

He was MIL 2nd husband (after my wifes father died). Was a Sheriff long before the marriage. All we know is that it was somewhere in North Carolina. I'm just looking for ballpark number on used K frame target grips. Not trying to get rich. Just figure they are worth something.

This is were the "revision number" & serial number sometimes help establish a premium value for a gun.

Depending upon year/model, some S&W revolvers will have the SN stamped on the back of 1 or both grips. You want to keep the original grips with the gun, if possible.

    as above.
none of them have high value, start them at $.01 +s/h and they will value themselves
