value on winchester model 70 pre64 featherweight in .308 cal.

  Have Winchester of 1917 in the closet. 30-06 with Herter muzzle brake on it. Doesn't appear to be original. Not finding much info on this production. Post some thots on the rifle. Thanks, GW.

  The Winchester Model "94" has walnut stocks. The "94" Ranger was manufactured by the U.S. Repeating Arms Co., and it has cheap hard wood stocks (typically birch).

  Depending on which era the rifle is from, Post-63, Pre 64, Pre WWII, or pre WWI, there can be some significant differences, in some of the mechanical parts, and material's they are made from. Especially the quality level of the Pre-64's, blows away the post-63's.

  As tsr1965 mentioned, there are mechanical differences in the pre-1964 versus post-1963 Model 94s. Additionally, there are differences in the 1964 - 1983 versus the later production guns.
